About Me:
My name is Daniel Eaton. I’m a disabled former programmer, beta manager, and project manager. I love testing apps and sharing my opinion. I now have all the time and just enough energy to do some of that. If you are a iPhone developer and need a beta tester or someone to help get the word out about an application, let me know. If I can’t get to it, my identical twin brother, David, that shares about all the same likes and dislikes as I do can probably get to it. He helps by writing a lot of the reviews here as well.
About 1stImpressions:
I don’t know if “micro-blog” is a real word or not, but that is what I intend this site to be. Something more than Twitter, but less than a blog with full-blown multi-page articles. Think of it as a iTunes Store application review with pictures. My attention span is very short, and my posts typically will be as well. And, as I plan on doing most of the posting from the iPhone, that works out well.
I will generally be posting about applications that I currently have on my iPhone, as well as those that I download to test. Since I am on a disability income, lots of those will be free or ones that I’ve been given promo codes for. If you are a developer and would like my 1st impressions, “will work for promo code”. LOL I will also generally focus on apps and games that I find that I think really need some additional exposure. You will see the obligitory FieldRunners review just to prove I am a iPhone blog, but there are plenty of news sources out there for the featured and most popular iStore offerings. I don’t need to replicate that, and you don’t need to re-read yet another review of some game that everyone in the blogosphere is going on and on and on about. So expect something new here. Short, to the point reviews of some apps, games, and utilities that you possibly are not familiar with.
