With the 2010 Winter Olympics in full swing (Go Apollo!!) it seems more than appropriate to review a puzzle game that focuses on ice and snow. In this case you solve each of the 120 levels by using the arrow controls at the bottom of the screen to direct the movements of the penguin to extinguish the flames by moving, creating, or removing blocks of ice (using the snowflake at the bottom of the screen)
I have to humbly admit that I think that I have a higher intelligence than most, not needing to take my shoes off to count past ten
, but it did not take long before the puzzles, which you can access in groups of ten, get difficult enough that you can’t just breeze through them but rather try different scenarios before you discover what may be the one and only solution to the puzzle.
Arctopia has a free “intro” version to try before you purchase the entire game which costs $1.99. While I found the game to be challenging at times, my primary suggestion to the developers would be to drop the price to $0.99 to be in line with the price of other games of equal quality and difficulty.
