Arcade Solitaire: TriTowersArcade Solitaire: TriTowers, as it sounds, it a TriPeaks game with a bit of an arcade spin.  The arcade spin on this old classic is that you are playing against a clock to see how many cards you can clear from the board within a certain period of time.

The number you are most concerned with the the center on at the top.  It is the countdown timer that you are playing against.  The other numbers show your ranking compared to others.

Two different game modes are available.  In normal mode, each time you clear a board, you get a new “life” to continue playing.  In survival mode, you don’t get new lives.  The game not only offers OpenFeint leaderboards and achievements, but also has integration to Facebook and Twitter, and ability to unlock several different card backs and skins as you progress in the game.

The game is currently on sale for $0.99 in the App Store, and a lite version is available for free if you’d like to try it out.  Overall, the easy, non-challenging nature of TriPeaks works well in the arcade format.  The competing against both the clock and trying to increase your ranking compared to other players really adds a lot to an old classic.  If you are a fan of Tri-Peaks, I’d recommend you check it out.
